World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremonies: The Artists Taking the Stage in Mexico, the U.S., and Canada

The World Cup is about to begin. While the opening match will take place at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, the excitement starts long before kickoff with a spectacular opening ceremony featuring some of the biggest names in Mexican music.

Mexico’s opening ceremony will celebrate the country’s rich musical culture, blending Latin rhythms and urban sounds with performances by Danny Ocean and J Balvin. The lineup also features some of Mexico’s most iconic artists, including regional music legend Alejandro Fernández, rock powerhouse Maná, Belinda and Los Ángeles Azules—who perform the tournament’s official song, Por Ella—and the acclaimed singer Lila Downs.

The United States will host its World Cup opening celebration on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, ahead of the match between the United States and Paraguay. The event will feature a star-studded musical lineup as part of the tournament’s festivities.
